01 · The challenge
About 140 documents of procedures, policies, training material and lease templates were spread across shared drives. New staff asked the same questions over and over, and the answers depended on who they asked.
02 · What we built
- 01An ingestion step that splits each document into searchable sections
- 02Retrieval that finds the right sections for each question
- 03Answers that cite the exact document they came from
- 04Role-based access, so each person only sees documents meant for their role
- 05A refusal to answer when the documents don't cover the question, instead of a guess
